"We act ourselves into ways of believing and believe ourselves into ways of acting." Joseph Pearce

It is here that I intend to collect notes and photographs that recall my life. I think there will always be unfinished and unwritten pages because I think the task of examining one's life is always ongoing. My purpose is to recall and record for my own memory the acts and events that influenced and shaped me and the choices I made. Maybe, after 60 years of living, I might get a notion of who I am.

I am not famous and there is nothing here to make me famous. It is not an apology although I owe many apologies and should, perhaps, speak more humbly than I do. It is not a justification because I am no judge of my own rightness. I cannot remember any situation in which I felt self-congradulatory. Most of the time I have been or should have been grateful. I want to look at how I saw things to see how they see me, the person I have become.

I do not plan to speak of the most intimate things between people because I have no right to intrude on their most personal privacies. I only want to try telling and reminding myself of the richness in my life of so many wonderful people and events. I know I have been blessed.
